Coming full circle

I love when things complete a cycle... I love finding things in life that have come complete circle.  This weekend will be a big ole' celtic circle for me...

This time like a last year at this time, feeling slightly homesick and also down about the lack of music in my life, I rugged the kids up, put on our wellies and headed to Portarlington. A dear friend knowing my homesickness was worsening thought the National Celtic Festival would be a good cure.  She was spot on!!! I went and was blown away by the honesty and purity of this beautiful little festival.  So far away geographically from all things Celtic, yet it all felt so familiar and welcoming.  I had been moaning about the lack of music in my life and what I had seen in Australia... it was not like Ireland with music hanging out the windows of pubs and jumping at you from every corner of the street.  It was on this very day that I changed the little path of my life!  I decided that I must stop moaning about the lack of music and join these wonderful musicians gathered from the world and Australia celebrating our traditions.  I must be part of the solution.

It is amazing how you put your intentions out their in the universe and then the universe conspires to make it all happen.  I am grateful, thankful, and extremely excited to be playing this weekend at the very same National Celtic Festival... and it is far more than just a festival for me... it is coming full circle for me.  Last year as I watched the festival around me, I promised myself to relight the music fire in my belly and this year, luckily I have been invited to be part of the magic.  To say that I am excited is far too much of an understatement... I am beaming, gleaming and jumping for joy!!!!  To celebrate this excitement, I have created a blessing tree!  At each of our gigs we will have a tree... a tree with ribbon and cards which you can add to.  This tree will grow as the festival grows and this growing tree will become a part of our album artwork for our first album.  I have put one blessing on it to start... but would love you to add your own...

Join my little circle.. and join us this weekend if you are near!  Matiss and I have great plans, magic plans... and lovely tunes to share with you and the world! For those that are not near... have no fear, it will all be videoed and you can expect something magic on youtube soon. And if you comment here with a blessing, I will add it to our blessing tree... promise!
